Overview

The Arc A310 is Intel's entry-level Alchemist graphics card, launched in 2022 as part of the first Arc A-series desktop lineup. It occupies the bottom of the Arc A-series stack and is designed specifically for low-profile systems β€” including small form factor PCs and pre-built desktops with limited slot clearance β€” at a $99 price point.

Despite its modest positioning, the A310 includes hardware ray tracing and Intel's XeSS upscaling technology, features not typically found at this price tier. It carries 4GB of GDDR6 memory and a very low 30W TDP, making it passively cooled in some implementations. AV1 hardware encode and decode are also supported, which is a notable inclusion for a card in this segment.

The Arc A310 is best suited for users who need a discrete GPU for light gaming, basic media playback, or multi-display output in a compact system. Its 30W power draw means it can often run without an external power connector, making it a practical upgrade for office or HTPCs. Buyers expecting serious gaming performance will find it limited by both its GPU compute budget and its 4GB VRAM.
