Overview
The GeForce GTX 1660 Ti is the top card in the GTX 16-series lineup, launched in early 2019 just before the GTX 1660. It was positioned as the step below the entry-level RTX 2060, offering strong Turing rasterization performance to those who did not want to pay for ray tracing hardware.
The GTX 1660 Ti carries 6GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit bus, giving it the same memory configuration as the GTX 1660 SUPER but with a higher shader count and wider execution resources. Despite being a Turing-based card, it does not include RT cores or Tensor cores — there is no hardware ray tracing or DLSS support, which is what separates it from the RTX lineup. Its 120W TDP requires a single 8-pin power connector.
The GTX 1660 Ti is designed for smooth 1080p gaming at high to ultra settings and handles 1440p reasonably well in many titles. It suits gamers who prioritize strong raster performance over feature completeness and want a capable card at a mid-range price point around $279.
