The ASUS ROG XG Mobile with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU is an external graphics dock, not a desktop card — a self-contained enclosure that brings flagship-class graphics to laptops, handhelds and mini PCs over a single cable. Launched in January 2025, it sits at the top of the XG Mobile line and pairs the Blackwell generation with a redesigned vapor-chamber cooling system.
Inside the dock is an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24GB of GDDR7 memory on a 256-bit bus, 896 GB/s of bandwidth and 10,496 CUDA cores, running at up to 150W TGP. Thunderbolt 5 handles the connection, while HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, USB and Ethernet ports turn the dock into a full connectivity hub. It is aimed at users who want near-flagship gaming and creative performance from a portable setup without building a desktop.
