Overview
The Radeon RX 6950 XT is the highest-performance RDNA 2 card AMD released, launched in mid-2022 as part of the same lineup refresh that brought the RX 6750 XT and RX 6650 XT. It supersedes the RX 6900 XT with factory-overclocked frequencies enabled by faster GDDR6 memory.
Like the RX 6900 XT, it features the full Navi 21 die with 16GB of GDDR6 and 128MB of Infinity Cache. The performance improvement over the RX 6900 XT comes primarily from higher memory and core clocks. Hardware ray tracing, AMD Smart Access Memory, and FSR upscaling are all supported, rounding out the same feature set as the rest of the RDNA 2 high-end stack.
The RX 6950 XT is AMD's most capable RDNA 2 card and targets 4K gaming with demanding titles and high-refresh rates. It suits enthusiasts who want AMD's absolute best from the RDNA 2 generation and can find it at a competitive price on the secondary market, where it now competes against newer RDNA 3 options.
